End of 2022: Book Recommendation

It is the last day of 2022 and here is the last picture of 2022 by me! It has been once again quite a year, but I'll keep the text at minimal and just blerb the same text I usually do. The 'best of 2022' picture posted most likely only in Twitter during January, but we'll see if I'll bother to post it else where.

This character has been in my mind for years, but only now I managed to make myself to do it. Most likely I waited for the updated model to come out during BfA(I think). I spent way too much time working on her model, especially her fins. I remade them all, when I just could've used the original ones from the base model. I had some trouble figuring out how to get the textures correct, yet the end result is something I'm quite satisfied with. I went with the typical fleshy bust over all scales like you see in Hearthstone. And even if they've become reptile like creatures, how come they have breasts?!? Oh well.

Winter Veil 2022: Father Winter and Helper

Time to see the final product of December community survey! I really like these and actually should do them more often. Maybe next year, in 2023, I'll try to post a new survey ever two or three months. Sounds good to me.

The survey did state the settings should either be a beach or battlefield, which both aren't very season fitting (unless you live in the southern hemisphere). But, I did end up with the battlefield, even though you can barely see it, but it is setting in Wintergrasp. That's a battlefield, right? Used to be. Then there is the size difference and how they would do it, that took a while to come up with. Sure, a huge pile of presents middle of a battlefield isn't logical, but I do doubt it will really bother anyone. Also, it was nice to work with Brixi for a while and give her model a small update for future uses.

Winter Veil 2022: Game Night

I'll spare you with my reasoning why I'm late with this picture and how tight it'll be with the next picture. So let us just focus on the picture at hand.
Core idea was to Lunash have her friends over for some board game(s) and me trying to cut corners, I barely found any to use. Sure, WoW has that one popular cardgame, but it is 1-to-1 and the big game I borrow assets from only has chess. Sure I could've made all from scratch, but I was lazy and searched for least one that wasn't either chess or monopoly. And I found one! Sure it doesn't look much, but hey, it's Settlers of Catan and Tinki is trying her best to sell the game for the other ladies. While I'm big into board games, I've never actually played Catan, so I didn't dare to make it look like they are playing it, so it is pre-game setting.

Enough of that, next up is the community picture, unless Christmass get's first.

Winter Veil 2022: Season of Gifts

'Tis the third week of Winter Veil and I'm only now posting out the first festive picture! I also forgot the whole logo I always post, but I'll let it slip this year to save bandwidth and space.
I'm not sure how many I'll actually manage to make before change of the year, but we'll see! Three is my target.

Now, you've been a good boy or girl and have earned a gift from one of the Librarians, so keep it up and you might recieve something big under the three!

Desperate Prayer ReMix

This one isn't "December themed", but I had to get least one of these pictures out before end of the year. So I've gathered over the years quite a list of ideas from a well known cardgame, either from the card "flavour texts" or the picture on them. This is one of them with small adjustments and changes, like the troll not having a white robe like in the original picture.

With that typed down, I'll see if I can cram three or four Xmas pictures before my January-vacation.

Feel the Burn!

Yikes! It is already December and I'm super late on my schedule! Been really really busy, so working on this couple has been very slow progress, so let us make it a quick one.
While the brother hasn't had much of changes, the sister has gained some visible ones. She hasn't got that much bigger, so we aren't yet stepping into Zarya territories!
And I did have some fun making the equipments, since the game itself doesn't have it own weights! Shocking I know! I had to ste- I mean, take inspiration from those owlboys from Cliffs of Respite - where the art team had made them barbbells from various random in-game props.

Also this has been work for the last character introduction picture. Now I only need to rerereremake Selanaars model so she is comfortable to work with.
